Refund and Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how RaiseSimple handles payment reversals and eligibility. Individual events may also have organizer-specific refund terms.

Event-specific terms

Organizers set the refund or cancellation terms applicable to their event, subject to applicable law and RaiseSimple platform controls. Before requesting a refund, review the event's posted terms and contact the organizer when the issue concerns event cancellation, attendance, a prize, or fulfillment.

Event cancellation

Cancellation requests for events with orders or registrations require RaiseSimple review. Sales and check-in pause while a request is pending; cancelled event tickets cannot be used. Each order is reviewed separately, and a cancellation notice does not mean that a refund has been issued.

Where disclosed and accepted at checkout and permitted by applicable law and the event terms, a cancellation refund may retain the original RaiseSimple fee and the actual payment-processing fee. We verify the captured payment, prior refunds, and actual processor fees before submitting a refund. Estimates and unavailable fees are not treated as verified deductions, and no new refund fee is charged. Older orders without recorded acceptance, donations, raffle purchases, disputed payments, used tickets, and partial refunds require separate review. An administrator may approve a full refund with the host bearing the original fees.

Date changes

Changes to an event with orders or registrations follow a separate review process. After approval, the new start and end times are communicated to affected purchasers. Existing tickets and QR codes remain valid for the revised event. A date change does not automatically issue a refund; if you cannot attend, contact the organizer or RaiseSimple support with your order number for review under the event terms and applicable law.

Full refunds

When a payment is fully refunded, paid attendance tickets, serialized gaming chances, and other affected paid records are invalidated. Refunded chances cannot be allocated to a prize or included in a draw, and refunded attendance tickets cannot be used for check-in.

Partial refunds

A partial refund creates a review hold on the affected order. Because a partial refund may change which specific products or chances remain paid, RaiseSimple does not automatically guess which records remain eligible. Held records remain excluded from check-in, ticket allocation, and draws until an administrator completes reconciliation.

Payment disputes and chargebacks

If a payment is disputed or reversed through a payment provider, the affected order may be placed on dispute hold. Related attendance and gaming records remain ineligible while the payment exception is reviewed. A later provider decision does not automatically restore eligibility unless RaiseSimple has reconciled the order and expressly restored the affected records.

Draws and winners

Refunded, disputed, or review-held chances are excluded from electronic draws. If a refund or dispute occurs after a draw or winner selection, the event organizer and RaiseSimple may review the circumstances, applicable event rules, regulatory requirements, and fulfillment status before determining next steps.

Processing and records

Refund timing depends on the payment provider and financial institution. RaiseSimple retains transaction, refund, dispute, draw, and reconciliation records as reasonably necessary for financial integrity, support, audit, and legal or regulatory obligations.

Getting help

For an event-specific issue, contact the event organizer first. For a RaiseSimple payment or account issue, use the in-app support channel and include the event name and order number when available. Never send payment-card details or passwords in a support message.
